Around six million young people take Kangaroo competitions each year. We are proud to be the UK member of the Association Kangourou sans Frontières, a collaborative association whose purpose is to promote mathematics among young people around the world. The top-scoring 25% of participants each receive a Certificate of Merit. Each participant below this thresholds receives a Certificate of Qualification or Participation depending on their entry route.Ĭertificates are pre-populated with student names and can be downloaded and printed as soon as results are released.

We hope that taking part in the Junior Kangaroo is a stimulating and rewarding experience for all students, whether or not they have prepared. Once your students have finished sitting the Junior Kangaroo you will then need to upload their answer sheets to your Challenges Profile.Īccess the Challenge Handbook to help navigate you through hosting the Junior Kangaroo. We only send out hard copy question papers for first round Challenges. If your students are sitting the Junior Kangaroo on paper you will need to download and print the question papers and answer sheets in school. If you have qualifiers from the paper JMC you will be given paper entries into the Junior Kangaroo. If you have qualifiers from the online JMC you will be given online Junior Kangaroo logins for your students. Kangaroos will automatically be hosted in the same way in which you hosted the Junior Mathematical Challenge.
Invitations to participate in the Junior Kangaroo will be clearly indicated in your results from the Junior Mathematical Challenge. The competition is only open to invited students in schools and colleges based in the UK. You just need to make sure you leave yourself enough time to pre-populate, download and print your answer sheets and question papers (paper orders only).
